rained out

so...there was no surf to be had today. well, perhaps i should clarify that. there was no surf to be had by ME. earlier today...at about 8:30am...sarah, suzie and brian rushed the frigid waters of kewalos. they said i didn't miss much. it has been cold...and rainy...and cold! well...cold for hawaii! it doesn't help my cause that i'm STILL fighting my cold of 3 weeks and 2 days. i'll have to wait till this massivegreyrainycloud passes over us. ...when it's sunny again, you'll hear from me!=)

i HAVE surfed since my last post however. this past saturday morning i got to surf with sandi=), dina, yvonne, and joy at daimond head! it was pouring rain and very grey...not ideal surf conditions at all. in fact, for awhile you couldn't see the water if you were standing on the little rock wall (on the road level) overlooking the water. after a short discussion, we decided to go anyway=). by the time we made our way down to the water the rain had stopped and to our right we could see tiny patches of blue through little holes in the grey. we jumped in the water and paddles out to cliffs. it was clean and suprisingly good-sized. ...a few overhead bombs came through=). then the wind picked up and it was soon time to head in. standing on the sand we concluded that we were glad we decided to head into the water...it was a good session...a pleasant suprise!=) 'till the next session...
