Hay Ride!

Last Thursday evening our church, Christ Community Church, had its annual hay ride at the Wegman farm...where our friend Charlie works. (Charlie and his wife and son, jacob, are in the same care group as we are.) apparently this is a yearly fall event that increases in attendees every year.

it was a beautiful and clear night. ...unfortunately that meant it was brutally cold...especially for sandi. (i keep telling her that she's too slender to be warm...if she wants to be warm she needs a good fat layer...like me!=) just for the record...i wasn't that cold.

needless to say that most popular places after the hay ride were very close to the fire...

there were two wagons hooked up to two tractors. each wagon held about thirty people. we drove behind and along-side each other on empty country roads, singing at the top of our lungs. it was a wonderful time with wonderful people!! next year we'll have better clothes to keep sandi warm...
